Open: Open registration means that a user can register on your platform without any restrictions. Users can search for your platform and become members.
Invitation-only: Invitation-only registration means that a user cannot register without an invitation. Registration is essentially locked. An administrator can create an invitation by adding a new user in the Users module, which sends a notification to the user allowing them to register.
This feature can include an option to provide an 'External Link URL,' which directs users to a custom external registration form for collecting their data. The administrator can then use this data to create or invite users.
